A resolution authorizing the execution by the City of Ashland
of that certain surrender of lease dated Dec_a~ber 4, 1962, between
the Gas-Ice Corporation and the City of Ashland.
WHEREAS, the Gas-Ice Corporation has executed and delivered
to the City of Ashland a quitclaim deed to the property included
in the original lease from the City to the Gas-Ice Corporation,
dated January 2, 1942, and
WHEREAS, the Gas-Ic~e Corporation desires to discontinue opera-
tion under said lease, and
WHEREAS, by letter dated Nov~er 16, 1962, the Gas-Ice corpora-
tion has agreed to donate to the City of Ashland the submersible pump
located on the leased property,
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Coxmnon Council
of the City of Ashland:
1. That the Mayor and City Recorder be, and they hereby are,
authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of
ashlL~d that certa~t agreemeat for suzrender of lease by and between
the Gas-Ice Corporation, a W~shington corporation, and the City of
Ashland, which agreement is dated the 4th day of Dec~her, 1962.
The foregoing resolution Was duly passed, under a suspension of
the rules, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on the
~ ' day of December, 1962, the vote being as follows:
