KNOW ALL MEN BY TH~]SE PRESENTS, That the City of Ashland a municipal
corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of Oregon
in consideration of Ten and O0/lO0 Dollars, to it paid by GAS-ICE CORPORATION,
a corporation of the State of Washington, does hereby grant, bargain, sell and
convey to said GAS-ICE CORPORAT~0N, its heirs and assigns for-ever, the
following real property, with the tenements, hereditaments sad appurtenances
there-unto belonging, or in anywise appertainlag; and also all the estate,
right, title and interest, at law and equity, therein and thereto, situated in
the County of Jackson, and State of Oregon, bounded and described as follows,
to-wit:
From the southwest corner of Section V in Township 39, South of Range 2,
East of the ~fiillamette Ii!eridian, Oregon, measure East 1320 feet and thence North
660 feet to the place of beginning; said point being the southeast corner of
the Northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of said
Section V; thence West 440 feet; thence North 400 feet; thence East 440 feet;
thence South 400 feet to the place of beginning, containing four (4) acres,
more or less.
Together with right of ingress and egress from said lands over and
across lands of the grantor adjacent thereto. Reserving unto the grantor, its
successors and assigns, all gas, water, add mineral rights in and upon said
described premises, together with the right to utilize the same in'such a
manner as will not inter~fere with grantee's manufacturing operations oh said
premises.
This conveyance is subject to the condition that should manufacturing
operations on said ~rem~ses be abemdoned ~or a oertod of more than two years
that said realty shall revert to the grantor, provided that grantee shall
have a right to remove all improvements and equipment
have built or installed thereon.'
TO HAVE AND TO MOLD the same to the said GAS-ICE
therefrom which it may

and assigns ~or-ever. And the said City of Ashlamd does covenant with the
said GAS-ICE qORPORATION and its legal representatives forever, that it is
lawfully seized in fee simple of the above described and granted premises, and
has a valid right to convey same; that the said real property is free from
all incumbrances, and that it will, and its successors shall WARRANT AND DEFEND
the same to the said grantee, its heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful
claims and demands of all persons whomsoever.
IN WITNESS W!;EREOF, TIlE CITY OF ASHLAND pursuant to a resolution of its
CO~ON COUNCIL, duly and legally adopted, has caused these presents to be
signed by its MAYOR and RECORDER, and its corporate seal to be hereunto affixed
this day of September A. D. 1944.
