Resolution granting Gas Ice Corpora%ion Ninety da'- e~kension from
May. 22nd, 1941 on L~ase assigned to said Corporation by Frank J. Burnham.
¥~HEREAS, under date of ~y 22nd~ 1940 the City of Ashland entered
into a certain L3~se w-itb Frank J. ~ur~,ha~ ~der vd~ich the latter acquired
certain rights to develop the carbon dioxide gas on what is co,only
as the Lithia Springs property near Ashland, Oregon$ and
V~S, ~th the consent of the City of Asl~d the said Leas~
~s assi~ed by the said Fra~ J. Burnh~ to the Gas Ice Corporation; ~d
I~S, under the te~s of said Lease tb~ ]as Ice Corporation
required ~o pc," +o '~be City of Ashland the sum of Five h~dred dollars
(~500.00) in cash in order to keep the said ~ase in ~11 force and effect;

W~R~S, the Gas Ice Cor~ration has requested an extension of
ninety (90) da~ from Feb~ary 22, 1941 in wnzc~ to complete its in~sti-
gations and deter~ne ~ether or not it s~ll keep said Lease in ~ll force
and effect; ~d
~R~S, the City of Ashland is ~lling to grant said e~ension;
}7OW, T?~RE~I~, BE iT I~ESOL~D that the Gas Ice Corporation be,
and it hereby is, granted a period of ninety (90) days from Feb~ary 2gnd,
1941 in which to fulfill the ~r~, conditions and obligations on its
to be done ~d perfo~ed ~der that certain Lease be~en the City of
Ashland and Fra~ J. Bu~ham, dated ~y 22nd, 1940, to which the said ~s
Ice Corporation is the lsgal successor of the said Fra~ ~. B~nb~m; and
othe~se the said Lease of }~y 22nd, 1940 is in all respects fully ratified,
approved and confi~ed.
The foregoing Resolutio~v~s duly adopte8 ~,n~er suspension of the
ru~es, the vote being: Ayes , (~9 Nays O ·
