OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIP~ CODE RELATIVE TO
WATER kND SEWER SERVICE CONNECTION RATES.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1961 and Section 14.04.040
of the Ashland Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"14.04.040 Water service connection rate schedule-Inside City.
Water service connection charges within the City limits shall be
as follows:
pursuant to Title 17:
3/4 inch service connection from
main line to and including meter.
$345.00
1 inch service connection from main
line ~o and including meter.
430.00
1 1/2 inch service connection from
main line to and including meter. 690.00
2 inch service connection from main
line to and including meter.
820.00
3 inch and over service connection from
main line to and including meter.
Cost
For properties outside the boundaries of a subdivision where
the subdivder has been required to install main lines, the applicant
for service shall pay to the City the above service connect charges.
In addition, if such connection is requested within ten (10) years
oz lnstai±ation of said m~in lines, the applicant shall ~ay a fee
of $625.00 to reimburse the subdivider for said raain, which fee shall
be paid over by the City to the subdivider.
B. For connection to water mains installed prior to July I,

Cost + $745.00*
*Deduct $120.00 for unpaved streets. On corner lots the service
shall be from the front yard of the lot.
D. A surcharge of $260.00 is required for service
connections where booster pumping is to be
provided by the City.
E. The charges for the reinstallation of meters and
service connections where service has been discontinued
for sixty (60) days or more shall be as follows:
3/4 inch service $ 50.00
1 inch service 55.00
1 1/2 inch service 95.00
2 inch service 100,00"
Section 2. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1961 and Section 14.08.025
of the Ashland Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as fellows:
"14.08.025 Sewer service connection rate schedule-Inside City.
Sewer service connection charges within the ~-~-t~ ~-~-~
as follows:
A. When sewer trunk line is provided by subdivider
pursuant to Title 17, (outside of subdivisions only):
4 inch lateral connection from trunk
line to normal curb line. 305.00*
6 inch lateral connection from trunk
line to normal curb line. 350.00*
8 inch lateral connection from trunk
line to normal curb line. 400.00~
10 inch or over lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line. Cost

For properties outside the boundaries of a subdivision
where the subdivider has been required to install trunk lines,
the applicant for service shall pay to the City the above
lateral connection charges. In addition, if such connection
is requested within ten (10) years of installation of said lines,
the applicant shall pay a fee of $315.00 to reimburse the sub-
divider for said trunk line, which fee shall be paid over by the
City to the subdivider.
For connection to sewer trunk lines installed prior
to July 1, 1973:
4 inch lateral connection from trunk
line to normal curb line.

*Deduct $120.00 for unpaved streets. On corner lots the service
shall be from the front yard of the lot. Add $310.00 Jf manhole
required.
A monthly sewer service surcharge of $0.80 is required
for service connections to sewer trunk lines discharging
into a sewer lift station provided by the City."
Section 3. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1954 and Section 14.08.030(a~
of %he Ashland Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing the
third line thereof to read "one thousand twelve hundred forty
dollars ($1240), which latter sum"...

The foregoing ordinance-was first read bv title only
in accordance with Article X ~f the City Charter on the
/~F~ day of April, 1979, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED
