AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2019 AND CHAPTER 14.04
AND 14.08 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO WATER
AND SEWER CONNECTION RATE SCHEDULES.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2019, as amended by
Ordinance No. 2063, and Section 14.04.040 of the Ashland
Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
"14.04.040 Water service connection rate schedule-Inside
Water service connection charges within the City
shall be as follows:
When water main was provided by a subdivider
pursuant to Chapter 18.80, or by persons other
than the City of Ashland:
3/4 inch service connection from main
line to and including meter. 405.00
1 inch service connection from main
line to and including meter. 500.00
1 1/2 inch service connection from
main line to and including meter
2 inch service connection from main
~ to and including meter

3 inch and over service connection
from main line to and including meter
COST
For properties outside the boundaries of a subdivision
or a development where the subdivider or developer has
been required to install main lines, the applicant for
service shall pay to the City the above service connect-
ion charges. In addition, if such connection is req-
uested within ten (10) years of installation of said
main lines, the applicant shall pay a fee of $710.00
to reimburse the subdivider or developer for said main,
which fee shall be paid over by the City to the subdivi-
der or developer.
B. For connection to water mains installed prior to
July 1, 1973:
3/4 inch service connection from main

*Deduct $150.00 for unpaved streets. On corner lots the
service shall be from the front yard of the lot.

connections where booster pumping is to be
provided by the City.
The charges for the reinstallation of meters and
service connections where service has been dis-
continued for sixty (60) days or more shall be as
follows:

2 inch service 120.00"
SECTION 2. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2019 as amended by Ordin-
ance No. 2063, and Section 14.08.025 of the Ashland Municipal
Code shall be amended to read as follows:

Sewer service connection charges within the Ci-~y

When sewer trunk line is provided by subdivider
pursuant to Chapter 18.80, (outside of subdivis-
ions only), or by persons other than the City of
Ashland:
4 inch lateral connection from trunk line
to normal curb line. 285.00
6 inch lateral connection from trunk line
to normal curb line 360.00

sion or a development where the subdivider or developer
has been required to install trunk lines, the applicant
for service shall pay to the City the above lateral
connection charges. In addition, if such connection is
requested within ten (10) years of installation of said
lines, the' applicant shall pay a fee of $400.00 to re-
imburse the subdivider or developer.
B. For connection to sewer trunk lines installed
prior to July 1, 1973:
4 inch lateral connection from trunk line
to normal curb line
6 inch lateral connection from trunk line
to normal curb line
8 inch lateral connection from trunk line
to normal curb line.
10 inch and over lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line.

For connection to sewer trunk lines installed sub-

if manhole is required.
D. A monthly sewer service surcharge of $0.92 is required
for service connections to sewer trunk lines discharg-
ing into a sewer lift station provided by the City."
SECTION 3. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2019 and Section 14.08.030(A)
of the Ashland Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
"A. That the applicant for service pay the connection fee as
set forth in Section 14.08.025 hereof plus the sum of $1550.00,

which latter sum is in part to compensate the City for the
cost of the existing sewer system and treatment facilities,
and which sum ghall be placed in the capital improvement
account for sewer system improvements for the City."
The foregoing ordinance was first read by title only in accord-
ance with Article X, Section 2(C) of the City Charter on the
