ADDING A NEW SECTION 14.08.025 TO THE ASHLAND
MUNICIPAL CODE; AMENDING SUBPART "A" OF SEC-
TION 14.08.030; REPEALING ALL SECTIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1777 is hereby amended by
the addition of a new Section 14.08.025 to the Ash-
land Mnnicipal Co~e, which shall read as follows:
"Section 14.08.025 Connection - Inside City_~ Sewer
service connection charges within the city limits shall
be as follows:
When sewer trunk line is provided by subdivider
pursuant to Ordinance No. 1318, and application
for service is made within 10 years of install-
ation (outside of subdivision only):
4 inch lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line. $150.00
6 inch lateral connection from
trunk line to. normal curb line. 260.00 ~
8 inch lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line. 530.00
10 inch or over lateral connection
from trunk line to normal curb line. Cost
For properties outside the boundaries of a sub-
division, the applicant for service shall pay to
the City, an additional fee sufficient to reimburse
the subdivider on a pro-rata basis for said trunk
line.
B. When sewer trunk line was installed prior to
July 1, 1973:
4 ~nch lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line. 370.00
6 inch lateral connection from
trunk line to normal ~urb line. 430.00
8 inch lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line. 625.00
'10 inch or over lateral connection
from trunk line to normal curb line. Cost + 100.00
C. When sewer trunk line is installed subsequent
to July 1, 1973:
4 inch lateral connection from
trunk line to normal curb line.

SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1777 and subpart A of the Ash-
land Municipal Code is hereby amended and shall read as
follows:
"A. Pay the connection fee as set forth in Sec-
tion 14.08.025 hereof plus the sum of eight hundred
seventy dollars ($870.00), which latter sum is in
part to compensate the City fqr the cost of the exist-
ing sewer system and which s~ll be placed in the capi-
tal improvement account for use in sewer system improve-
ments for the City;"
SECTION 3. All other ordinances or sections thereof
which conflict with the provisions of this ordinance
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. It' is hereby adjudged and declared that the
existing conditions are such that this Ordinance is nec-
essary for the preservation of the public health and
safety of the people of the City of Ashland and an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall
take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval of the Mayor.
