Section ~ of Aahla~ Ordl~mce No. and Section 1A.05.030 o~ the Ashla~ M~$cipal Code ia a~mded ko read as ~ollows: "l~Ob.030 Co~ection-~utside ei~. P~emises outside the City of Ashland ~y be co.coted to the. sewer when such co.sc:ion is dete~ined ~ the Aehla~ Ci~ Co~il to be in the best interests off the City of Ashland a~ to ~t be detrimental to the City's se~ facilities and such co~ction shall be on such terms as are set forth herein, or as ~y be ~diffied or added to by the Ashla~ .City C~ncil: ' A. Pay the c~ction fee as set fo~"th in Section 14- .08.020 hereo~ plus the ~ of eight h~dred dol~rs 'which latter ~ is in part to co~ensate the city ~or the cost of the existing sewer system and ~ich shall be placed in the capi~l ~rovement acco~t for use in se~er system i~ve~nts ~or the B. Said consent Shall also provide for pa~en2 to the city at RONALD L. C:ALTEI~ --1- Ordinance No. the time'of annexation of one cent (1¢) for each square foot of land which is to compensate the city in part for the cost of existing capital improvements. Further, it shall provide for the payment to the city by the owners at the time of annexation of an amount equal to the current assessment for liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted by a public service district, such as Talent Rural Fire District, multiplied by the number of y~ars remaining on such · indebtedness, so that the land raay be withdrawn from such public service districts in accord with ORS 222.520 at no presentor future expense to the city." SECTION 2. It is hereby adjudged and declared that the existing conditions are such tha~ this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health and Safety of the people of the City of Ashland and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take efkect and be in full forc'e and effect from and .after its passage and approval by the Mayor. The foregoing Ordinance was first read at a regular meeting the Common Council held on the ./~-~day of June, and passed 1974, to its .second reading, and duly passed on the~-~'day-- of June, 1974, the vote being'as follows: AYES: ~- NAYS: DATED this ~.~day of June, 1974.
