HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-17 Trans/Storm Util RateA RESOLUTION ADOPTING A TRANEPORTATION AND STORM DRAIN UTILITY RATE BCHEDULE PURBUANT TO BECTION 4.26.020 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE. THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The "Transportation and Storm Drain Utility Rate Schedule" marked Exhibit "A" and attached to this Resolution is adopted as the transportation and storm drain user fees. SECTION 2. The rates adopted on Exhibit "A" shall be increased annually on July 1st, based on the Engineering News Record Construction cost Index (ENR). The City Administrator will provide the City Council with a review of the rate structure with the 1995-1996 budget. The initial ENR is established at 4927. SECTION 3. Three (3) copies of this Resolution and Exhibit "A" shall be maintained in the office of the City Recorder and shall be available for public inspection during regular business hours. SECTION 4. The rates adopted pursuant to this Resolution shall be effective on or after July 1, 1992. SECTION 4. Resolutions 90-13 (Handicap Access), 91-11 (Storm Drain Fees) and 89-49 (Street Utility Fee) are repealed upon the effective date of this Resolution. Please replace the existing Exhibit "A" with the new version. This should have been effective July 1, 1993, but, obviously I did not get the information completed on time. The new rate will be in effect when you have it in the computer and on the next billing cycle. I will try to be more prompt next year. I would also like to see us totally separate the sanitary sewer income from the storm drain income. In talking with Pat Caldwell, I understand we are still using a percentage of the sanitary sewer income for the storm drain income. When I separated the two rates, this was the intent. The existing version indicates the minimum for ANY account. The NOTE should have been for commercial only.
