HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-45 Set Film & Media Production Rate - Repealed by 2015-05?ESOLUTION NO. $~- //0~ A RESOLUTION SETTING FEES FOR MOTION PICTURE, AMr' RADIO AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION PURSUANT TO SECTION 6.32.050 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE. ~.~EREAS, Section 6.32.050 of the Ashland Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to set permit fees and service charges for motion picture, and radio and television productions; and I,~EREAS, said fees and charges should be established to recover costs by the City to process the application and pro- vide certain services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the ~ayor and City Council as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 6.32.050 of the Ashland Municipal Code, the following fees are hereby established: A. Annual permit fees. An annual oermit fee for motion oicture, radio or television production in the following amounts shall be paid at the time of permit issuance, as follows: $150.00 initial fee for first year 25.00 renewal fee for each subsequent year. B. Special Use Permits. Closing or obstructing a public street or side- walk so that a detour is necessary. Use of a city-owned building or property. Utilization of City esuioment and/or oersonnel. An exterior filming utilizing more than 30 oersons. Use of nondomesticated animals. follows: SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 6.32.070 of the Ashland Muni- cipal Co'de, the following charges for use of City personnel, vehicles and equipment are hereby established: A. Use of City personnel. Actual salaries times multi- plier of 2.0. B. Fire equipment. $50.00 per hour or $250.00 per day for each piece of firefighting apparatus when used in production. Half fee for standby ourposes. -1- C. Other Vehicles and equipment. Interdepartmental rates established ~y Director of Finance olds twenty percent (20%). D. Utilities. Regular fees and charges pursuant to City ordinance. The foregoing resolution was READ and DULY ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Ashland on the day of Z~2~/-, 1984.
