A RESOLUTION CHANGING THAT PORTION OF EVAN LANE
BETWEEN MILLPOND ROAD AND FORDYCE STREET TO
EVERGREEN LANE
Recitals:
A. The council has received a request to change a portion of Evan Lane to
Evergreen Lane. Two sections of Evan Lane intersect Millpond Road at an offset
forming a non-uniform cross intersection. The offset sections of Evan Lane have
caused confusion and the council finds it is in the public interest to change one section
of Evan Lane to Evergreen Lane.
B. The change meets the requirements of § 13.24.010 for street names as
Evergreen is flora, a category for which streets may be named. In addition a Monterey
Pine flourishes at the west end of the section to be renamed.
THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Ashland Municipal Code § 13.24.020.D, that section of Evan
Lane between Millpond Road and Fordyce Street is renamed Evergreen Lane.
This resolution was read by title only in accordance with Ashland Municipal Code
