AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PRORATION OF BUSINESS
LICENSE TAXES BY AMENDING SECTION 6.04.090 OF THE
ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 6.04.090 of the Ashland Municipal Code is
amended to read:
6.04.090 Term. The business license term shall be for a
fiscal year, beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of the next
year, and business license taxes are due annually on or
before July 1 of the fiscal year for which the license is
required. If, after September 30, a person begins a
business required to be licensed under this chapter, the tax
shall be pro-rated on a quarterly basis.
The foregoing ordinance was first READ on the /~ day of
