ORDINANCE NO. ,/ J /0
An ordinance vacating a portion of Oreqon Street in the City
of Ashland, ~1ac'kson County, Oregon, and requiring the City Recorder
to certify a copy of this ordinance to the county Clerk, County
Engineer and County Assessor.
WHEREAS, by petition signed by the 80le abuttinq property owners,
it has been requested that the City of Ashland vacate that portion of
Oregon Street hereinafter described, and
WaEREAS, oreqon Street, as it presently exists, has a ten foot
jog which will be straightened by this vacation, and
WtmREAS, due notice of said vacation has been given in the
manner and form required by law. and a hearing has been held thereon;
and it appearinq to the Common Council that the public convenience
and welfare will be served thereby and that this vacation is in the
public interest, NOW, ~mREFORE,
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHlAND DO OItDAIN AS FOLLOWSl
Section 1.
That all of that portion of Oregon Street described as
follows:
The northerly 10 feet of Oregon Street from the easterly
line of Monroe Street easterly approximately 140 feet to
the easterly line of palmer Street extended.
be, and the same i. hereby, vacated.
Section 2.
That by this vacation the City of AShland does hereby convey
to the adjOining property owner. all its right, title and interest
in and to the above descr ibea real property.
Section 3.
That the City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a certified
