AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND ADDING TWO NEW SECTION TO THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL
CODE SECTION 10.04.030 WHICH RELATE TO INTERFERENCE AND ASSISTANCE TO
POLICE OFFICERS.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section A of Section 10.04.030 is hereby amended
to read in its entirety as follows:
"A. No person shall hinder, delay, obstruct or resist
a police officer or person duly empowered with ~olice
nee
authority who is acting in the discharge of his/duties."
SECTION 2. There is hereby added to the Ashland Municipal
Code Section 10.04.030 two new sub-parts which shall read as follows:
"H. No person shall knowlingly disobey the lawful order
of a police officer or person duly empowered with police
authority who is acting in the discharge of his/her duty."
"I. No person shall knowingly furnish false information
to a police officer or person duly empowered with police
authority who is acting in discharge of his/her duty."
The foregoing Ordinance was first read at a regular meeting
of the Common Council held on the-~,'.!'day of ~.~,.~ ~-"~:.~__ , 1982, and
passed to its second reading and duly passed on
1982.
