AN ORDINANCE ~ENDING SECTION 14.12.090 OF THE
I~UNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO GENERAL PROVISION
GOVERNING ELECTRIC SERVICE--TREE TRIMMING ON
PRIVATE PROPERTY.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Subsection G. of Section 14.12.090 of the Ashland
Municipal Code shall be redesignated Subsection H., and a new
Subsection G. shall be added which shall read as follows:
"G. The City may request permission to trim trees on
private property if such trees, in the judgement of
the City, create a hazard to electric service lines
on the same or adjacent properties. In the event such
permission is refused, the property owner refusing
permission shall be liable for all damages and costs
that may result therefrom."
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the ~g/' day of
