THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2248 entitled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINA~NCE NO. 2052, THE LA~D-USE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, AND SECTION 18. 12. 030 OF THE ASHLA~ND MUNICIPAL CODE, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM JACKSON COUNTY RR-5 (RURAL RESIDENTIAL 5 AC. MINIMUM), TO CITY E-1 (EMPLOYMENT). (Industrial Park Annexation); Ordinance No. 2249 entitled: A~,~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND WITHDRAWING CERTAIN RECENTLY ANNEXED REAL PROPERTY FROM JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 5. (Industrial Park Annexation); and Ordinance No. 2247 entitled: ~-~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ANNEXING A CONTIGUOUS AREA TO THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON, ~D PROVIDING FOR ~ EFFECTIVE DATE. (Industrial Park.) are hereby amended to delete therefrom Exhibit "A" and to insert into each of said ordinances Exhibit "A-l" which contains the legal description of the land. SECTION 2. It is hereby adjudged and declared that the existing conditions are such that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety of the people of the City of Ashland, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor. Excepting therefrom, any portion of the hereinabove described tract or parcel of land that may be situated within the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
