Annexation) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2248 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINA~NCE NO. 2052,
THE LA~D-USE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND,
AND SECTION 18. 12. 030 OF THE ASHLA~ND MUNICIPAL
CODE, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM JACKSON
COUNTY RR-5 (RURAL RESIDENTIAL 5 AC. MINIMUM),
TO CITY E-1 (EMPLOYMENT). (Industrial Park
Annexation);
Ordinance No. 2249 entitled:
A~,~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND WITHDRAWING
CERTAIN RECENTLY ANNEXED REAL PROPERTY FROM
JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 5. (Industrial
Park Annexation);
and Ordinance No. 2247 entitled:
~-~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ANNEXING
A CONTIGUOUS AREA TO THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON,
~D PROVIDING FOR ~ EFFECTIVE DATE. (Industrial
Park.)
are hereby amended to delete therefrom Exhibit "A" and to insert
into each of said ordinances Exhibit "A-l" which contains the
legal description of the land.
SECTION 2. It is hereby adjudged and declared that
the existing conditions are such that this Ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
of the people of the City of Ashland, and an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage by the Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the
day of April, 1983, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this ..3~.-¢~ day

LAND DESCRIPTION
A tract or parcel of land situated in the Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 14, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Base
and Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon and being more fully described as follows:
Commencing at the quarter corner common to Sections ll and 14, said Township and
Range; thence South 00o02'32" West along the North-South centerline of Section
14, 661.965 feet to the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the North-
west quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section and being the True Point
of Beginning; thence South 89o51'58" East along the Northerly boundary line of
the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
said Section, 15.39 feet to a point in the Southwesterly right of way line of
that 'Frontage Road' as set forth in Document No. 72-00467 of the Official Records
of Jackson County, Oregon; thence along said Southerly right of way line along
the arc of a 130.00 foot radius curve to the left, the radial bearings "in and
out" are North 61°51'27" East and South 00o09'23" West (the central angle is
61 degrees 42 minutes and 04 seconds) 139.995 feet; thence South 89o50'37" East,
367.48 feet to the Northwest corner of that tract or parcel of land as set
forth in Document No. 77-09634 of the Official Records of Jackson County,
Oregon; thence leaving said Southerly right of way line, South 00o09'23" West
along the Westerly boundary line, 365.00 feet to the Southwesterly corner
thereof; thence South 89o50'37" East along the Southerly boundary line thereof,
89.18 feet to the average centerline of a creek and being situated in the
Westerly boundary line of that tract or parcel of land as set forth in Document
No. 75-14182 of the Official Records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence South
07o40'02" West along said Westerly boundary line, 45.23 feet; thence South
06o50'20" West, 145.14 feet to the Southwest corner thereof; thence leaving
the boundary line of that tract or parcel of land as set forth in the last
recited document hereinabove, South 06o50'20" West along the average centerline
of a creek, 42.30 feet; thence leaving said creek line, West, 159.24 feet;
thence South 60o02'33" West, 353.91 feet, more or less, to a point in the
Northeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad as set forth
in Volume 245, page 480 and Volume 439, page 482 of the Deed Records of Jackson
County, Oregon; thence North 55°11 '04" West along said railroad right of way,
111.67 feet to a point in the Westerly boundary line of the Northeast quarter
of Section 14, said Township and Range; thence leaving said right of way,
North 00o02'32" East along said Westerly boundary line, 778.87 feet to the
point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom, any portion of the hereinabove described tract or parcel
of land that may be situated within the right of way of the Southern Pacific
Railroad.
Subject to any and/or easements and/or rights of way of record and those apparent
on the land.
