AS~IL~ND CITY COUNCIL
bIAY 14, 1970
An adjourned meeting of the City Council was held in the Council
Chambers of City Hall on the above date. The meeting was called
to order by Mayor McKeen. Ail Councilmen were present.
City Recorder Bartelt presented the abstract of votes for the
election held on May 11, 1970. Following canvassing of the votes
of the May 11 recall election by Council, it was moved by Haines,
seconded by Bailer that the election returns be certified. On
roll call, carried unanimously.
City Recorder Bartelt presented the Mayor's proclamation
stating the ~'esults of the May 11, 1970, election. Haines
askqd that his name be corrected on the proclamation to read
Francis D. Haines, Jr. instead of Frank D. Haines. It was
moved by Haines, seconded by ;Tillstatter that the Council
adopt the proclamation with the cOrrection of his name in
proper form. On roll call, carried unanimously.
At this time, Bailer requested that the Mayor appoint as
temporary Acting City Administrator Mr. Mike Beigel. The
Mayor pointed.out that the appointment could not be made
at this meeting since it is a special meeting called for the
purpose of canvassing the votes and adopting the proclamation;
however, Mr. Biegel's appointment will be made at the May 19,
1970, regular Council meeting.
There being no further.business, the meeting was adjourned
subject to the call of the Mayor.
