KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the CITY OF ASHLAND, a
municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, hereinafter called the
Grantor, for in consideration of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) and other good and
valuable consideration, to Grantor paid, the receipt whereof hereby is
acknowledged, does hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto CHARLES E.
HODGINS and JESSIE M. HODGINS, husband and wife as assigns of the Carter
Land Company, hereinafter called the Grantees, and unto Grantees' heirs,
successors and assigns, all of the Grantor's right, title and interest
in that certain real property with the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, situated
in Jackson County, Oregon, more particularly described on Exhibit "A"
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Included in this conveyance is a relinquishment and
termination by the Grantor of all easements received by it by a deed
from ~he Carter Land Company, predecessor in interest to the Grantees
herein, dated September 30, 1911 and recorded as .volvo 91,
page 514-516 of the Jackson County Deed Records

IN THIS INSTRUMENT IN VIOLATION OF APPLICABLE LAND USE LAWS AND
REGULATIONS. BEFORE SIGNING AND ACCEPTING ~THIS INSTRUMENT, THE PERSON
ACQUIRING FEE TITLE TO THE PROPERTY SHOULD CHECK WITH THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OR COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO VERIFY APPROVED USES.

EXHIBIT "A"
A tract or parcel of land, deeded to the City of Ashland b~.that
document recorded in volume 91 page 514-516 of the deed records
of Jackson County, Oregon and being more fully described as
follows:
Beginning at a point which is 2,165 feet northerly along the
center line of Mountain Avenue from the intersection of the
center line of East Main St. with the center line of Mountain
Avenue in the city of Ashland, Oregon, (the said center line of
Mountain Avenue being assumed to be due north and south); thence
north 72 degrees 53 minutes east a distance of 94 feet to the
southwest corner of the tract of land to be conveyed by this
deed, which tract is located in the southeast quarter of Section
4, Township 39 South of Range I East of W.M.; thence continuing
north 72 degrees 53 minutes East a distance of 120 feet to the
southeast corner; thence north 17 degrees 7'minutes west 120 feet
t° the northeast corner; thence south 72 degrees 53 minutes west
a distance of 120 feet to the northwest corner; thence south 17
degrees 7 minutes east 120 feet to the place of beginning.
