Post Office Box 5630 Denver, Colorado 80217 (303) 721-5500 February 5, 1990 Mr. Brian Almquist City Administrator City of Ashland 20 East Main Street Ashland, OR 97520 Re: Transfer of Cable Television Franchise Dear Mr. Almquist: The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the contemplated sale of assets of the cable television system serving your community, including assignment of the franchise rights, as previously approved by you by Ordinance No. 2536 dated November 21, 1989, from Cooke CableVision Inc. to TCI Cablevision of Oregon, Inc., was completed on January 10, 1990, and effective as of that date, TCI Cablevision of Oregon, Inc. became the new cable operator in your community. TCI Cablevision of Oregon, Inc. does hereby accept the franchise granted pursuant to Ordinance No. 2258 dated May 18, 1983, as amended by Ordinance No. 2415 dated February 17, 1987 (the "Franchise") and does hereby agree that it will comply with and abide by all of the provisions, terms, and conditions of the Franchise, subject to federal, state, and local law. We are pleased to inform you that Ken Reske has been retained by the new cable operator, TCI Cablevision of Oregon, Inc., as system manager. TCI Cablevision of Oregon, Inc. intends to continue to provide quality cable service to the subscribers within your community and to be a responsible corporate citizen therein.
