RE: Plaza Avenue Storm Drain
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Riggins:
As you are aware, the City of Ashland's Street Division is currently
completing the re-construction of the storm drain system on'Plaza
Avenue. This work is being done in an effort to provide a uniform
piping system thereby improving storm water flow characteristics and
reducing maintenance requirements.
It appears that the section of storm drain which you had previously
installed is identical in size and specification to that which is
currently being installed by the City. It would, perhaps, be to the
advantage of all concerned if that section of pipeline from Verda
Street to your south property line be adopted into the City's storm
drainage system as a public facility..This, of course, means that
the entire responsibility of future cleaning, maintenance and repair
shall rest entirely with the City of Ashland and upon your approval,
the City shall assume that full responsibility.
If this arrangement is acceptable to you, would you please sign the
statement attached and return it in the enclosed stamped envelope at
your earliest opportunity?
