AGREEMENT
This Agreement is made this /,;~- day of '.~f~_ , 1985,

between Jackson County, a Political Subdivision of th~ State of Oregon,
hereinafter called "County" and the City of Ashland, an Oregon municipal
corporation, hereinafter called "City".
WITNESSETH:
I
Walker Avenue from East Main Street to Southern Pacific railraod
tracks is a County road within the city limits. The increased vehicular
traffic on this section of road makes it necessary and desireable in the
public interest and for the benefit of the abutting areas that said section
of road be widened and improved.
II
During 1985 the City shall improve Walker Avenue from East Main Street
to the Southern Pacific railroad tracks in accordance with plans marked
Exhibit "A" and attached hereto.
III
The County shall contribute to the cost of said improvement the sum
of $19,394.00.
IV
Following execution of this Agreement, the City shall formally request
that the County surrender its jurisdiction over said section of road and
shall adopt such ordinances and resolutions as shall be necessary for the
transfer of said jurisdiction pursuant to O.R.S. 373.270.
V
Following said jurisdictional transfer, but no earlier than August 15,
1985, payment of $19,394.00 shall be made by County to City.
