INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS
The Agreement between the parties effective July 1, 1984 to June 30,
1986 has been reopened and some Articles have been changed through
bargaining.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree to amend this agreement as follows:
(1) Appendix "B" WAGE SCHEDULE, effective July 1, 1985 is changed
to read as follows:

*Individuals in the classifications of Firefighter and Fire Engineer
who do not possess EMT I certification shall have their wages reduced
by $.124 per hour (equivalent to $30.00 per month).
**All rates are hourly and shall be considered as such.
(2) Add the following language to the bottom of Appendix "B", WAGE
SCHEDULE,*
"Effective July 1, 1986 to June 30, 1987, the wage rates for
July 1, 1985 shall be increased by the sum of the following
two items: (1) one and one-half percent (1.5%) of the July 1,
1985 Ashland rates; (2) the average of the percentage wage rate
increase for the Firefighter or Firefighter/Engineer classifi-
cation granted by October 1, 1986 in the cities of Bend, Coos
Bay, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, La Grande, Lebanon, Pendleton,
Roseburg, and The Dalles. (Take the 7-1-86 settlement rate,
minus the 7-1-85 rate, divided by the 7-1-85 rate.)"

(3) Amend ARTICLE XI, Section 3. Overtime to delete subsection (f)
in its entirety and add a new "iubsb'ction (f) to read:
"(f) For purposes of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act only,
authorized leave with pay shall be considered hours worked
beginning July 1, 1985."
(4) Add the following to ARTICLE XVI ~ GENERAL PROVISIONS, Section
15. Cross-training:
"The City agrees that it will not require any present member
of the Ashland Firefighters Association to accept cross-
training as Public Safety Officers for q period of three (3)
years commencing July 1, 1985."
(5) ARTICLE XXI - TERMINATION AND REOPENING, change 1986 to 1987
in the first sentence thereof.
