HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-050 Deed - Brown85.- ,7598 DEED (For Street Purposes) KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that HARVEY Go BROWN and ETHEL BROWN, record owners, and BRIAN Lo ALMQUIST and RUTH ANN E o ALMQUIST, contract purchasers, hereinafter called the "Grantors", for and in consideration of the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1~00) to Grantors paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknow- ledged, does hereby sell, transfer and convey unto the CITY OF ASHLAND, a Municipal corporation, hereinafter called "Grantee" for street purposes, the real property situated in said City of Ashland, County of Jackson, and State of Oregon, described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at a found 1-inch square iron bar situated at the accepted northeast corner of government lot no. 4, Section 5, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon; thence South 00o04'43'' West along the westerly boundary line of Donation Land Claim No. 40, said Township and Range, 337.40 feet to a found 1-inch square iron bar situated at the centerline of a 16-foot wide alley, bearing westerly, as per the official survey of the City of Ashland, accepted and adopted by the City Council of the City of Ashland, Oregon on the 5th day of November, 1888 and filed for record on the 26th day of March 1892 in Volume 1 of Plats, Page 81 of the records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence leaving said Westerly boundary line of Donation Land Claim No. 40, South 89°55'44" West along the centerline of said alley, also known as Susan Lane, 330.01 feet to the radius point of a 45.00 foot cul-de-sac; thence North 79°49'51'' West, 45.00 feet to a point on the north right-of-way line of said 16 foot wide alley and on the westerly right-of-way of said cul-de-sac, also being the True Point of Beqinnin~; thence along the arc of a 45.00 foot radius curve-to the right (chord bearing being North 55o34'02'' East, 64.07) 71.30 feet to a 1/2" galv. iron pipe with yellow plastic cap marked Swain R.L.S. 759; thence South 00o02'40'' West along the west line of right-of-way dedicated on that minor land partition recorded in Volume 6, Page 6 of "Minor Land Partitions" in Jackson County, Oregon, 36.16 feet to a 1/2" galv. iron pipe with yellow plastic cap marked Swain R.L.S. 759; thence South 89°55'44'' West along the north right-of-way line of said 16 foot wide alley, 52.81 feet to the True Point of Beginning, containing 1,546.95 square feet more or less.
