3. The work area during any construction or maintenance operation performed under
the permit shall be protecbed in accordance with current provisions of the "Manual
on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, U. S. Department of
Transportation".
4. If a contractor is to perform this work, prior to commencement of any work,
applicant will provide the contractor an approved copy of this permit and
appropriate General Provisions. The contractor shall have this material in his
possession while work is performed.

6. In consideration of the safety and convenience of the travelling public:
Arty mud, rock ot other debris deposited on the highway surface by any
means by the permittee, builder, supplier(s), shall be immediately
removed by sweePing, scrapin~ or flushing-with water. Failure'to k~ep
the road surface clean shall be considered a violation of the permit
provisions, and also ORS 164.785.
7. Applicant, or his contractor, to contact Curt Yocham, Section Supervisor, at
482-4344 at least 3 days prior to conmencement of any work, and 24 hours
before all work is completed or equipment is removed from the work area.
8. A security fence will be installed around each bore pit.
9. Interference to the travelling public will not be allowed.
10. Special precautions shall be observed during the boring operations to prevent
any settlement or cave ins. Any voids will be pressure filled with grout.
11. Parking of vehicles and eqdipment or placing ofmaterials upon right of way
of the Rogue Valley Highway No. 63, except within the confines of the proposed
work area, will not be permitted.
