A~rport. The Airport Master Plan is now complete. In conjun'ction with the develop- ment program as described in the Plan, this letter is written to give assurance that both the City of Ashland and Jackson County will, in full compliance with Section (4) of the Airport and Airways Development Act of 1970, take all appropriate action to restrict the use of land adjacent · to, or in the immediate vicinity of, the airport to activities and pur- poses compatible with normal airport operation. While the airport is currently located within Jack'son CountY, the City of Ashland has proposed extending its urban growth boundary to include the airport.' Both the City and the County recognize the need for compatible uses in areas affected by the airport and concur in the importance of minimizing the opportunity for such uses to develop.
