MAIN STREET AND SCENIC DRIVE, NORTH OF MAPLE STREET. ~HEREAS, notice of a public hearing regarding the proposed vacation has been given, and a public hearing held on September 21, 1982 in accord with the provisions of Chapter 271 of the Oregon Revised Statutes. NOW THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is hereby determined that the public interest will be best served by the vacation of an unopened portion of Woodson Street located between N. Main Street and Scenic Drive, North of Maple Street, in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, and more particularly described as follows: Woodson Street located in the Northeast ¼ of the Southeast % of Section 5, Town- ship 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian, City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon from its intersection with the West- erly right of way line of North Main Street to 20 feet from its intersection with the Easterly right of way line of Scenic Drive. Reserving therefrom an easement for the installation and perpetual maintenance of public and private utilities. SECTION 2. For the foregoing reasons, the portion of the unopened public street described above is hereby vacated.
