Code 2: Contribution Type CA Cash: Any legal instrument redeemable as currency, transmitted via physical or electronic means. CO Cosigner Obligation: The amount of the loan for which that person agreed to be liable in a written agreement, unless the endorser or guarantor is the candidate's spouse. This amount must be considered as part of the cosigner's individual contribution aggregate until the loan has been repaid or forgiven. IK In-Kind: A thing or service, other than money, having monetary value. The value of this contribution is based on the fair market value of the product or service. This amount is considered both a contribution and expenditure for the committee and must be reported on line 4 and line 9 of the Summary Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (PC 1). All in-kind contributions must be itemized, regardless of the amount. LR Loan Received: Each endorser or guarantor of a non-exempt loan is considered to have contributed that portion of the total amount of the loan for which that person agreed to be liable in a written agreement, unless the endorser or guarantor is the candidate's spouse. Note: A loan from a financial institution may be exempt and, if so, is reported on form PC 4A.
