A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION HONORING THE SERVICE OF JOHN
FREGONESE AS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR FOR THE CITY
OF ASHLAND.
WHEREAS,
John Fregonese joined the administrative staff of the City of Ashland as Planning
Director on December 3, 1979; and
WHEREAS,
since that date he has assumed the management of the City's award-winning
Conservation Division, Building and Safety Division and Computer Services Division;
and
WHEREAS,
in his expanded role as Community Development Director, John Fregonese has
brought statewide recognition and dislinction to the City for innovative programs; and
WHEREAS,
his vision and his dcdication to making Ashland one of the most beautiful and livable
cities is manifested by the numerous civic improvement projects, plans and policies,
which will leave a lasting imprint on the quality of life for our citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND as follows:
SECTION 1. That they hereby express to John Fregonese on behalf of the City,
their sincere appreciation for his outstanding service to the City and its citizens.
SECTION 2. That they hereby wish him every success and happiness in h/is new
professional challenge of guiding the growth and development of the Portland
Metropolitan Service District.
SECTION 3. That a copy of this resolution be presented to John Fregonese in
open Council meeting, in order that everyone be reminded of the deep affection,
respect and gratitude in which he is held by this Council and the citizens of
Ashland.
The foregoing Resolution was READ and DULY ADOPTED at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Ashland on the /~7'_z-d day of
1992.
