ORDINANCE NO 2290
AN ORDINANCE AHENDING ORDINANCE NOo 2052 AND
TITLE 18 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE 0
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOHS:
SECTION 1. Section 18064. 0030 of the Ashland Hunicipal Code relative
to the SO (College) Zone shall be amended by adding a nevI subsection
(c), which shall read as follows:
"c. Any construction over 40 feet in height".
SECTION 2. Section 18.68.080 of the Ashland Municipal Code relative
to. the-Quarry Expansion shall be amenqed by adding a new subsection
(E): which shall read as follows:
"Eo Any expansion of a nonconforming commercial
excavation shall require a Conditional Use
Permit. An expansion is defined as removal
of additional undistrubed topsoil or vegeta-
tion or otherwise enlarging the area which
had been mined, commonly ~eferred to as the
quarry face ,or active quarry area."
SECTION 30 Section 18096.l00(D)(1) of the Ashland Municipal Code
relative"~'Eo Freeway Signs, shall be amended by deleting the exist-
ing subsection in it's entirety, and replacing it with the
following:
"19 Number. One freeway sign shall be permitted
for each lot in addition to the signs allowed
by 18.960090 of this Chapter."
SECTION 4. A new section 18.08.615 shall be added to the Ashland
Municipal--Code and shall read as follows:
"18.08.615 Quarry !ace. The sDlit face of the incJ.slon
where the disturbed surface meets the natural, undisturbed
surface."
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the~7~day of
