ORDINANCE NO 2348
AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION I TO SECTION
180200030 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE
TO GROUP HOMES IN R-l ZONES.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A new subsection 1 is hereby added to Section 18.20.030
of the Ashland Municipal Code relative to conditional uses in R-l
(Single Family) Districts, and shall read as follows:
"1. Group Homes..
SECTION 2. A new section 18.08.285 is hereby added to the Ashland
Municipal Code and shall read as follows:
"18.080285 Groul' Home. A dwelling housing a group in
excess ot 5 indlviduals not related by blood, marriage,
adoption or guardianship who function as a single
housekeeping unit under a common management plan based
on an intentionally structured relationship providing
organization and stability. Such facilities can include
but are not limited to homes for orphans, foster child-
ren, the elderly and battered women and childreno
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 2nd day of April, 1985
and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this ~~ day of April, 1985.
