AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2052, THE LAND-
USE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND AND SECTION
18.12.030 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE, TO REZONE
CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM JACKSON COUNTY RR-5 TO CITY OF
ASHLAND R-1-7.5 (SMITH ANNEXATION)
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2052 and Section 18.12.030 of the
Ashland Municipal Code, are hereby amended by rezoning from
Jackson County RR-5 (Rural Residential - 5 acre min.) to City
of Ashland R-1-7.5 (Single Family Residential) the property
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
The foregoing Ordinance was first read on the ~~ day of
August, 1988 and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this /4i day of

ASHLAND DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
PLANNING ACTION NUMBER 88-016
A tract or parcel of l~nd situated In the westerly half of the
northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 5, Township
39 South, Range 1 East, Willamette Meridian, Jackson County,
Oregon more fully described as follows:
Commencing at a one inch diameter Iron pipe with three inch
diameter brass disk (marked: liT. 38 S., R. 1 E., 31-32-6-5, T.
39 S., R. 1 E., RLS 759, 1970") monumentlng the accepted
northwest corner of said Section 5; thence South, 451.96 feet;
thence East, 639.68 feet to the intersection of said line and the
southwesterly right of way of Ashland Mine Road In the City of
Ashland, Oregon, said point being monumented by a two inch
diameter iron pipe, also the Initial Point for the "Pleasant View
Subdivision (City of Ashland), and the True Point of Beginning;
thence leaving said right of way, South 190 15' 00" West 120.00
feet to a 3/4 Inch diameter iron pipe; thence South 700 45' 00"
East 607.00 feet to a 3/4 inch diameter iron pipe; thence South
190 15' 00" West 80.00 feet to a 5/8 Inch iron pin; thence North
700 45' 00" West 719.73 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin; thence North
190 27' SI" East 200.00 feet to a point- situated at the
intersection of said line and the southwesterly right of way of
said Ashland Mine Road; thence along said right of way, South 700
45' 00" East 111.93 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
