AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NOo l36l~ THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF ASHLAND, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FRO~1 ITS ZONE DESIGNATION
AS IT EXISTED 1iHEN SAID PROPERTY WAS OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS OF ASHLAND
TO ESTABLISH SAID PROPERTY AS BEING ZONED C-l OR COMMERCIAL - RETAIL
DISTRICTo
TI-IE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 10 Ashland Ordinance No. 1361, the Zoning Ordinance
for the City of Ashland, is hereby amended to rezone the following
described recently annexed property to C-l "Commercial - Retail District";

said property is described as follows:
All that portion of the South half of Government
Parcell Lot 10 in Section 11, '1'39S, R.I.E., W.N., Jackson
County, Oregon lying Northerly of the Center Line
of State Highway #66.
Beginning at the section corner common to Sections
11,12,13, and 14, T39S R.T.E. \Y.M., Jackson
Parcel 2 County, Oregon; thence North 104.51 feet; West
1340.61 feet to a 1~ inch iron pipe for the exist-

true point of beginning; thence N 0 17'30 W 160.44
feet; thence, S 86 16'05" 1\1 150.00 feet; thence

76.00 feet; thence S 0 17'30" E 165.00 feet more
or less to the center line of said State Highway #66;
thence, Northeasterly along said center line to a
point which lies South of the true point of begin-
ning; thence, North 60.00 feet more or less to the
true point of beginning.
SECTION 20 It is h~eby adjudged and declared that the
existing conditions are such that this Ordinance is necessary for the
preservation of the public health and safety of thepeople of the City
of Ashland a~ an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance
shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayoro
The foregoing Ordinance was first read at a regular meeting
of the Common Council held on the '3~ day of July, 1973, and passed to
its second reading, and duly passed on thel7~day of July, 1973, the
vote being as follows:
