AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. '1361, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF ASHLAND, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM C-l (RETAIL-
COMMERCIAL) TO R-l:B-8 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL).
Zone Change No. 44 (T. J. Ramoss, Jr., Applicant)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held
Public Hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter-described
property; and
WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council
deem it to b~ in the best interests of the City of Ashland that said
rezoning be permitted pursuant to findings of fact duly adopted by
the Planning Commission and confirmed by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO.ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is,
amended to rezone from C-l (Retail-Commercial) to R-l:B-8 (Single-
Family Residential) the following-described property located in the
City of Ashland, County of Jackson) State of Oregori; to-wit,:
Commencing at the Section corner common to Sections 10,
11, 14, and 15, said Township and Range; thence South
89054'50" East along the section line common to Sections
11 and 14, 1332.97 feet to the West 1/16 corner common
to said Sections (record East 20 chains); 'thence South
00000'25" East, along the west boundary of the East one-
half of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, said Township
and Range, 639.51 feet (record South 9.56 chains) to a
3/4 x 24 inch galvanized iron pipe situated on the South-
westerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of
way for the True Point of Beginning: thence continuing
South 00000' ZS'"'""East along s'aid west boundary (record
South 9.44 chains) 614.49 feet to a 3/4 x 24 inch gal-
vanized iron pipe: thence East, 626.50 feet to a 3/4
x 24 inch galvanized iron pipe situated on the westerly
right of way of Tolman Creek Road; thence along said
right of way, North 00002'00" West, 179.31 feet to a
3/4 x 24 inch galvanized ironppipe situated at the in-
tersection of the westerly right of way of Tolman Creek
Road with the Southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific
R!i1road right of way; thence along said railroad right
of way, North 55012'50" West (record North SSO West)
762.80 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 5.91
acres, more 'or less.
