HomeMy WebLinkAbout1902 Rezoning Certain PropertyORDINANCE NO. 1902 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1361, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND AND SECTION 18.12.030 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPA1. CODE, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-l:B-8, RESI- DENTIAL-SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT, TO C-3, COMMERCIAL-HEAVY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1361 and Section 18.12.030 of the Ashland Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, amended to rezone from R-l:B-8, Residential-Single Family District, to C-3, Commercial-Heavy District the following described property, to-wit: Commencing at a point on the southerly line of the EDMONDS SUBDIVISION in Section 14, Township 39 South Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon, according to the offic- ial plat thereof, now of record (said point being more particularly described as being West 30.0 feet South 0010' East 680.9 feet and North 88057' West 381.0 feet from the northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section'14), thence South 0010' East 143.0 feet, thence South 88~57' East 173.0 feet to the true point of beginning, being the northwest corner of tract described in Volume 468 page 225 of the Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence North 88057' West 230.0 feet; thence South 0010' East 200.0 feet; thence South 88057' East 230.0 feet, more or less, to the west line of said tract described in Volume 468 page 225, said Deed Records; thence North along said line 200.0 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2. It is hereby adjudged and declared that the existing conditions are such that this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety of the people of the City of Ashland and that an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
