ORDINANCE NO. 1636
An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1361, the zoning ordinance
of the City of Ashland, to rezone certain property from R-3:l.2 or
Resident~ial - Multiple Family District to C-l or Commercial - Retail
District~ .
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held
heqrings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described prop-
erty, and
WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council
deem it to the best interests of the City of Ashland that said
rezoning be permitted,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezone from R-3:l.2 or Residential - Multiple Family District
to C-l or Commercial - Retail District the following described
prqperty, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the Northeasterly line of the
Siskiyou Boulevard in the City of Ashland, Jackson
County, Oregon, which point bears 10.73 chains West
and 6.90 chains North of the Southeast corner of
Donation Land Claim No. 45, Township 39 South, Range
1 East of the Willamette Meridian, Jackson County,
Oregon; thence along said Boulevard North 56013'
West 270.0 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence North 33047' East 403.40 feet; thence North
16.0 feet; thence North 53000' West 237.60 feet;
thence North 60030' West 250.80 feet; thence North
61030' West 85.61 feet to the East line of a tract
described in Volume 239, Page 50S, of the Deed Rec-
ords of Jackson County, Oregon; thence along the
East line of said tract South 0002'25/1 West 485.13
feet to the Northeasterly line of the aforesaid
Siskiyou Boulevard; thence South 56013' East along
said line 312.0 feet to the true point of beginning.
The foregoing ordinance was duly passed, under a suspension
of the rules, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on
