AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1361, THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-l B:8
RESIDENTIAL-SINGLE FAMILY, TO R-3 2.4 RESIDENTIAL-MULTIPLE
FAMILY.
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission and Common Council
have held hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter
described property; and
WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common
Council deem it to be the best interests of the City of Ashland
that said rezoning be permitted,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same
hereby is, amended to rezone from R-l B:8, residential-single
family, to R-3 2.4 residential-multiple family the following
described property located in the City of Ashland, the County
of Jackson, State of Oregon, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the west sideline of Clay Street
in Jackson County, Oregon, which point is 635.70 feet
east and 183 feet south of the northwest corner of
Section 14 in Township 39 South of Range 1 East of the
Willamette Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon; thence
north 56019' west 108.16 feet to the true point of
beginning, this point being the northwest corner of
tract described in Volume 316 page 339 of the Deed
Records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence south along
the west line of said tract 180 feet to the southwest
corner thereof; thence west 50 feet; thence north to
the southerly sideline of County Road; thence easterly
along the southerly sideline of County Road to the
true point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the following property, known
as TAX LOT #3300 391E 14B, 5-1; Beginning at a point
on the west sideline of Clay Street in the City of Ashland,
Jackson County, Oregon, which point is 635.70 feet
east and 183 feet south of th€ Northwest corner of
Section 14 in Township 39 South, Range 1 East of
the Willamette Meridian in Jackson County Oregon;
thence North 560 19' West 108.16 feet to the true
point of beginning, this point being the northwest
corner of tract described in Volume 316, page 339,
of the Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence
South along the West line of said tract 85 feet to
corner; thence West, at right angle, 50 feet; thence
North approximately 116 feet to the southerly sideline
of County Road; thence South 560 19' East to the true

which point is 635.70 feet east and l83 feet south of
the Northwest corner of Section 14 in Township 39
South Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian in
Jackson County, Oregon; thence south along the west
sideline of Clay Street 120 feet, thence west parallel
to the north line Section 14 a distance of 90 feet;
thence North 180 feet, more or less, to the southerly
sideline of the County Road; thence south 560 19' east
along said road line 108.l6 feet to the point of beginning.
Beginning at a point on the west sideline of Clay
Street in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon,
which point is 635.70 feet east and 183 feet south of
the Northwest corner of Section 14 in Township 39
South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian in Jackson.

to the true point of beginning, this point being the

the North line of said Section; thence West along said

Commencing at a point on the west line of Section 14,

corner thereof, as the true point of beginning; thence
continue South 00 10' East along the 'fJesterly line

East, 633 feet to the west line of Clay Street; thence
along said street North 00 03' East, 226 feet, thence
North 890 57' West, 634.04 feet to the west line of
said Section 14, being the true point of beginning.

The foregoing Ordinance vIas first read at a regular
meeting of the Common Council held on 4th day of Hay, 1971,
and passed on its second reading and duly passed on the 18th day
