ORDINANCE NO . 2162
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1878, AS AMENDED,
RELATIVE TO THE FRANCHISE TAX IMPOSED UPON THE CITY-
OWNED ELECTRIC UTILITY
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1878, as amended by
Oi--dinance-No. 2055 is hereby amended by deleting the following
words:
II shall pay to the City of Ashland on the last days of
September, December, March and June, a franchise tax in
the sum of ten percent (10%) of the gross electric revenues
received within the corporate limits of the City of Ashland
for the preceding three months. .."
and by substituting the following words:
"... shall pay to the City of Ashland on the last day of
each month a franchise tax in the sum of ten percent (10%)
of the gross electric revenues received within the corporate
limits of the City of Ashland for that month. For 1982 only,
February 27 and 28 revenues shall be booked and taxed ir March,
and February franchise tax shall be paid as of February 26."
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective on December '31, 1981.
