RESOLUTION NO. h:~.3
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CANVASS OF THE VOTE AT THE SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD IN AND FOR THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON ON MAY 16,
1989.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ashland met
on the (;, -pI,- day of June, 1989, at the Civic Center of said City
and proceeded to canvass the vote cast at the special election
held in and for the said City of Ashland on the 16th day of May,
1989, and
WHEREAS, the said Council has canvassed the said vote
and has determined the number of votes for the measure as follows:
MEASURE NO. 51
YES - 1697 votes
Three-year operating tax rate
serial levy for police.
NO - 1068 votes
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Ashland as follows:
SECTION 1. Measure No. 51, which provided for a three-year
operating tax rate serial levy for police, is hereby declared
to have passed.
The foregoing Resolution was read and adopted at the
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Ashland on
the &7"l:.day of June, 1989.

PROCLAMATION
I, CATHERINE M. GOLDEN, Mayor of the City of Ashland,
Oregon, do proclaim that at the special election held in and for
the City of Ashland, Oregon on the 16th day of May, 1989, there
was submited to the voters a measure entitled "Three year Operating
Tax Rate Serial Levy for Police", and said measure is hereby declared
to have passed.
