HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-15 Amends Pay Schedule RESOLUTION NO. 2006-15 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PAY SCHEDULE FOR MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007. RECITALS: 1. The wage adjustment for two City Labor unions has been set at 4% based upon the Consumer Price Index. One union received 3% July 2005,2.5% January 2006, and is scheduled to receive 1.5% July 2006. The two Public Safety bargaining groups are in negotiations with the City. 2. The City has an interest in maintaining salary differentials to avoid compression between represented employees and the supervisory/management staff. 3. It is the desire of the City to maintain its management and confidential pay plan at a level commensurate with other jurisdictions to enhance recruitment and retention in these key positions. THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The overall pay schedule is hereby increased by 4% for Management, Mid- ManagemenUSupervisory and Confidential employees effective July 1, 2006. SECTION 2. The salary of the Municipal Judge and the City Recorder shall be increased by 5.10%, which is the weighted average of the adjustments made for Department Heads and Supervisors as set forth in the City Charter. SECTION 3. This resolution takes effect upon signing by the Mayor or City Council Chair.
