AN ORDINANCE WITHDRAWING AN ANNEXED AREA FROM JACKSON
COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 5 (ACCESS ANNEXATION)
Recitals:
A. The owners of the property described in the attached Exhibit "A" have
consented to the annexation of this property to the City of Ashland and all electors
residing in the tract to be annexed have consented to the annexation.
B. Pursuant to ORS 222.524 a public hearing was held on August 6, 1996, at 7
p.m., in the Council Chambers, Civic Center, 1175 East Main Street, Ashland, Oregon,
on the question of withdrawal of this property from Jackson County Fire District No. 5.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The land described in the attached Exhibit "A" is declared to be
withdrawn from Jackson County Fire District No. 5 pursuant to the provisions of ORS
222.111.
SECTION 2. The City of Ashland elects to pay the bonds of the Special Taxing
Districts pursuant to the provisions of ORS 222.520(2)(b).

the true pnt,t of beginning, said point also being at the
Northeast corner of that tract of land as described tn city of

pipe; thence continue along the present city limits line, North

828.13 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin on the Southerly line of east
Main Street; thence continue North 0'04'56" East, 30.19 feet to a
found brass disk in concrete marking the centerline of East Main
Street; thence continue North 0'04'56" East, 32.80 feet to the
Northerly line of East Main Street; thence along said Northerly
line, North 66'15'00" East, 174.92 feet to the Westerly line of
Interstate No. 5; thence along said Westerly line, South
