Dear Kathryn,
I was so sorry to hear that you will be unable to continue as a member of the
Conservation Commission. Mary McClary didn't give me any details, but said that you
were leaving due to health issues - I truly hope you recover quickly. Please accept my
sincere appreciation for the efforts you have put forth as a member of this commission. I
hope you enjoyed the time spent working for a better Ashland.
Should you wish to work on one of our Boards or Commissions again in the future,
please let me know.
Kind regards,

Hi Mary,
Just catching up on 2 week's of email.No. I am not in town having had complications from surgery. I will
be at my son's house in Austin for at least another month recuperating. Definitely not back for July. It is
not looking good for my permanent return, so I should really give up my seat on the Commission now. I
regret letting everyone down and will miss being able to serve with my fellow commissioners.
Thanks,
Kathryn

Hi Robbin,
Would you please convey a message to the Commission for me? I am into the 14th day of a migraine.
My doctor has suggested that the pollens and altitude here may be effecting me adversely since the
accident, so I need to test the theory. I am flying back to Austin tomorrow for 6 weeks to give that a real
test. If it is true, I will have to move back there. I will be gone for both the June and July meetings. If this
means I have to step down now, then obviously I am. If my seat can be held until I know for sure if I can
come back or not, I would be more than willing to complete my tenure. I was really looking forward to
being your liaison!
Thanks.
Kathryn
