THIS INDEIJT1JR]~ VIITl\fESSETH, Tllat we, F. JVf. Calkins and
Carrie L. Calkins, his wife, of the County of Jackson and
State of Oregon, for and in consiaeration of a right to
connect with the sewer hereafter mentioned within the property
hereafter described and exemption from liability for
asseSST:'1ent or p:Q.arges J.,' in connection vvi th sai<i sewer, have
bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell ,and
convey unto the ,bi ty of ASIlland a right of way for the said
sewer as the same is now laid thru the following described
property, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the easterly side line of HeLman
Street, (exten~ed) in the City of Ashland, Oregon ,frarn which
the stone monum~nt at the intersection of the center line
of Mechanicts Street with the center line of Helman Street
in said. city bears south 27 degrees, 45 Elinutes vvest 791.22
feet distant; thence south 63 degrees 45 minutes east 230.40
feet; thence north 30 deGrees 13 minutes east 183.60 feet;
thence north 63 degrees 45 minutes west 245.25 feet to said
easterly sid~; line of Helman Street, (extended); thence south
25 degrees 35 minutes west 183.15 feet tb the place of
beginning, containing one acre, all in Jackson County, Oregon.
Together \vi th" the. right to go upon and pas.S1- thru said raal
property for. the purpose of making necessary r~epairs to sa.id
sewer but no right is hereby granted to do any damage or
injury to said real property.

the said City of Ashland, its heirs and assigns forever.
