RESOLUTION NO. %7-1/
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2377, RELATIVE
TO THE RESTRICTION OF EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER PARKING
WITHIN THE DOWNTOWN DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2377 was to officially terminate on September
30, 1986 unless extended by Resolution of the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has conducted a survey of downtown
merchants and has found general support for the continuation
of the restriction; and
WHEREAS, staff studies by the Planning Dept. have indicated that the
restrictions have increased the availability of parking.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2377 shall be extended through September 30,
1987 with respect to the employer and employee parking restrictions as
set forth in Section 11.30.020.
SECTION 2. The Planning Dept. is directed to conduct studies during
the Summer of 1987 and at the conclusion of the parking restrictions to
communicate the results to the Chamber of Commerce for their future
recommendations.
The foregoing Resolution was READ and DULY ADOPTED at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Ashland on ~he ~/~ day of
