Rickert Rickert Properties LLC 8180 S W Connelnara T efface Beaverton, OR 97008 RE: PROPERTY AT 2365 HIGHWAY 66, ASHLAND Dear Mr. Rickert: The sanitary sewer line that serves your restaurant at 2365 Highway 66, as well as the Knight's Inn Motel, was installed in the late 1960's. A recent video inspection of the sewer line has shown some severe deterioration in the old concrete pipe and we will need to replace the entire sewer line as quickly as possible. In researching the construction of this sewer line, we \vere unable to locate the easement document that should be in place to allow the City to maintain and replace the pipeline. To correct this deficiency we would like to acquire an easelnent across the northerly \ 0 feet of a portion of your property as shown on the attached map. The easement would cross the entire width of Bob Brodeur's property (Knight's Inn Motel) and would extend approximately 50 feet into your property. 1 have taken the liberty of preparing a draft easement document for your review. Of course there would be no charge to you for any of this process and the result will be a Inuch more durable and trouble free sewer line. The work can be done with little or no disruption to the restaurant and the entire process should only require a week or so to complete. The restaurant will be given several days notice prior to the work beginning.
