The Ma:,ror annotulced the pliLrpose of the meeting VIa.S to consider the
report of the a,clvertisinfJ' comfii ttee of the Chamber"of Commerce.
c. ~. Talent exhibited a chart showing advertising sign,s whioh had
been under consideration by the C~ber of Commerce. consisting of signs
for registration, a neon sign for the 1i thia Fountain and a large sign
suspended across LIain street a t the l?laza. ]:t'ollowin[: considerable dis-
cussion it was moved by Swedenburc and secol1l1ed by Koozer to authorize
an appropriation of $159.60 for the registration signs vdth arrows and
the Chamber of Cormn.erce sign over the PIa za. Roll call wa.s called for
on the motion, ,the vote bein[:, Ayes: .Applewhite, Hansen, i.~oozer, Sweden-
burg. Nays: ]ione. Carried.

The Park Commission which hac been granted a loan of ~2200 at 4%
f'ron the City a t a recent meRtinc of the c01.u1cil ha vi:n<? asked for a
reduotion in ra~e to e%, the matter vre.s discussed ane1 lt was moved by_
Swedenburg and seconded. by Hansen that the reduction to 3% be a1J,proveCi.
