The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved a. read.
The monthly reports of 'the City Dump Ground and the City Judge were ree.d, accepted
and ordered placed on file.
Bills amounting to $11.574.43 were read as to total amount only" eam.e having been
eked by the various ttepe.rtmsnts , committees and finance committee and upon motion by
Ingle, seconded by Applewhite and following a unanin~us rell call were ordered paie.
A letter concerning a Fire Chiefs t Convention at Sal't Lake City was reado The Fire
Ohief stated that he did not plan en attending this oonference, bu't did expect to
attend the State Convention at Pendleton.
Oommittee Reports:
Fire. Hansen brought up the subjeot of fire proteotion on auto cour1;s south of
the 01 ty.. but just outside of the 01 ty limits. The me. tter was discussed, but it was
deoided that the oity could Dot guarantee pro'teotion outside or the oi ty l!Jnits" but
Baturally would lend aid in the case of fire to the extent possible.
The follo~~ng applications for building permits were presented.
No. 28. To build addition te Junior High Sohool at an approximate cost of 14700000

No. 2T. 1'0 erect :aewa.welling at Monroe and Madrone Streets at an approximate Gost
of 1500.00 by R. C. Rogers.

No. 29.To repair and paint the Methcdist Church at 1'15 North Main Street at an
approxima'te cost of .600.00 by G. W. Greggo
No. SO. To erect church on Eaat Main Sve@t aear Mountain Avenue at an approximate

It was moved by Ingle aDi seconded by Blake that the perm! ts be granted subject
to building regulations. Carried.
The Mayor .t~~ed that he wanted to appoint the following..as a citi%entl,budget

· Ketvi!l IrAeg1. It was moved by Blake and seoonded by Orandall that the appointments
be .pproved. Carried.
A proposed ordinance levtiBg special benetit# assessments against propertiea ben-
efited in Sewer Bis'brlcrt No. 41 was read. It _. moved by Ingle and seoonded by Blake
that the ordinance be passed to the seoond reading by 'ti tie only" the rules being sus-
pended. Oarried. Following the second reading by title only, it was moved by Applewhite
