The minutes of the previous meeting were read am approve d as read. 14on'thly reports Gt the Electrio, Water and Street Dep1rtmen:ts and City Reoorder were read, acoepted and ordered placed on file. Dr. H. A. Woods, City Health Offioer spoke on the hospital andthe need for a steril- izer. It was moved by Carson that the city purohase the Seranton Morris for .696.15. Seoonded by Tayler ani carried following a unanmimous roll call. Payment to be made out of t18 e:aerlency fund. The City Atto'ehey read his opinion on the liability of the Park Commission for the Granite Street paving and following some disoussion, it was meved by Tayler that the property owners on Granite street be inte rviewed again to aee' if they .re willing to pay more than originally estimated and also that the County Court again be interviewed to aee if' tha~ would still contribute towards the street improvement. Carried, following a leoend by Applewhite. The seouring of a surety bond for William Ross, operator or the City Sanitary Ser- vice was disoussed brieny. A letster from the State Fire Marshall eonoerning the eoming state convention ot fire ohiefs was read ana.ref'erred 'to the Fire "'Committee wi th power to act. A letter trom the Ashland Radio Club ooncerning their proposed ei~ survey of radios, interferenoes .te was read and upon motion by Tayler, the .lub was authorized to make the lurvey and were to be given the old oity trouble finder tor modernization and use in the 8urvey and to be retained by them following the survey.
