The Counoil met in regular session at T .30 P. M. this date. Presentl Acting Mayon'
Koozer, C01.mcilmen A.pplewhite, Carson, Delsm.an, Tayler. Absent, Mayor Wiley. Councilman
Crandall.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read am approve d as read.
14on'thly reports Gt the Electrio, Water and Street Dep1rtmen:ts and City Reoorder
were read, acoepted and ordered placed on file.
Dr. H. A. Woods, City Health Offioer spoke on the hospital andthe need for a steril-
izer.
A delegation of Allison Street property ovmers were present and made inquiry con-
oerning the paving of Allison street this summer.

Finalee' The Galling of $25.000.00 Awd.llery "Water Bonds oallable at the option of
the City on July lit.. brought up and disoussed. Thea 8 were 5% bonds optional ...llable
in 'blocks of $25,000.00 every five year s. It 'WaS JDQved by Tayler and 8 eoonded by Apple-
white that the bonds be called" proper notification of the oall being published. Roll
oall was taken on the motion whioh was unanimous. the bonds theretore being authorized
tor redemption on July 1" 1939.
Eleotric s The transfer of deposits to delinquent acoount:; totalling $42.00 and the
adjustment ot oonsumers accounts amounting to .11.80 were upon motion by Applewhite"
seoonded by Caraon# approved. The purohase of 'WOod forrelief fa.milies tor this
winter by the Ci"by Superintendent was approved upon motion by Xayler seoonded by Apple-
white and carried.
.treat. The use of the street tor a parking plaoe in front of a tire shop on Ea8~
f4ain Street near Seoond street was discussed and upon motion by Applewhite. seoonded by
:A:ayler, the matter _8 reterred to the City Attorney tor an interpre-':tion ot the
ordinanoe on paistingo Carried.
Realtys The purohase of a sterilizer for the hospital .s disoussed" the City Super-
intendent having reoeiVed quotations as fellows. Soranton Morris, 1696.15} .Amerioan
$7l1.a:>. It was moved by Carson that the city purohase the Seranton Morris for .696.15.
Seoonded by Tayler ani carried following a unanmimous roll call. Payment to be made out
of t18 e:aerlency fund.
The City Atto'ehey read his opinion on the liability of the Park Commission for the
Granite Street paving and following some disoussion, it was meved by Tayler that the
property owners on Granite street be inte rviewed again to aee' if they .re willing to
pay more than originally estimated and also that the County Court again be interviewed
to aee if' tha~ would still contribute towards the street improvement. Carried, following
a leoend by Applewhite.
The seouring of a surety bond for William Ross, operator or the City Sanitary Ser-
vice was disoussed brieny.
A letster from the State Fire Marshall eonoerning the eoming state convention ot
fire ohiefs was read ana.ref'erred 'to the Fire "'Committee wi th power to act.
A letter trom the Ashland Radio Club ooncerning their proposed ei~ survey of
radios, interferenoes .te was read and upon motion by Tayler, the .lub was authorized to
make the lurvey and were to be given the old oity trouble finder tor modernization and
use in the 8urvey and to be retained by them following the survey. Seoonded by Carson.
Carried.
On motion, the eounoil adjourned to meet at the Gall of the Mayor.
