Councilmen Applewhiiie, Carson, Crandall, Delsman, Koozer. Absentl Counoilmen fayler. The minutes of the previous mee'ting were read and approved as read. .... Monthly reports ot the Electrio, later and @-treet Departments and City Reoorder for July were read, aocepted and ordered placed 8n file. The following applications for building permits were presentedt No. 37: To remodel garage at 462 Allison Street at an approximate cost of $150.00 by Mrs. J. A. Yeo. No. 38: To ereot new Service Station at Seoond and East Main Street at an approxi- mate cost of $6,000.00 by C. M. Corkum. u It was moved by Koozerand seconded by aBson that the permits be granted. Carried. Bids on tleet insuranoe covering all city owned trucks, oars ete were reoeived. These bids w re tor a period of one year commenoing Aug. 18th, 1939. Only two bids were reoeived, and were as tollows: Billings Agenoy, 415.43 I. C. Erwin ~ 356.02 It was moved by Koozer and seconded by D.~man that t he bid of I. S. Erwin for $356.02 be ace epted and following a unanimous roll call, th bid was so awarded. ..... L. V. English, 435 Terrace Street made a few incoherent s'tatements seeming -to protest against the right"of-way to the Ci~ for a roadway inbthe vicinity of his property~ and also about his light andwater bills which did hot seem to reduoe as .fast as he thought 'they should. The Oi ty Attorney reported on deed and vaoation proceedings .J1ich were no1; as ye"t reoGrded and upon motion by U""*I Applewhite, seconded by Kooz or, the recording of these documents andthe olearing of "titles was authorized to be acco'Pllshed.
