The minutes ot the previous meeting were read.Land approved as read.
The monthly reports of the E1eotric, Water and Street Deparimlents, City Judge and
City Recorder were read, aocepted and ordered plaoed on file.
The bill for the annual audit of the books of the Ci 1;y of Ashland for the year
1938 in the 8.mOtmt of $aS4.50 by Alfred W. Mundt" C. P. A. was upon motion by Tayler,
seoonded by Delsman. ordered paido Carried.

Fire. Delsman reported that 300 feet of tire hose was needed by the Fire Department
and following some disoussion during whioh the Underwriters speoifioation hose sold thru
the League of Oregon Cities was considered" it was moved by Delsman and seoonded ~
Car.en that the City Superintenden~ and Fire Chief call for bids for 300 feet of 22
inch hose. A.llbids to be in at noon, September 30. 1939. with the fire committee given
power to aot. Carried.

The City Attorney reported on the work of the Inf'antile Para.lysis Hospital Committee
and following some disoussion.. it was moved by Tayler and seconded by Carson that $50.00
be earma.rked out of the advertising fund of the Chamher of Commerce to be used to go to
Eugene it desired. Carried
The City Attorney reported -that he was ready 1;0 proceed with the condemnation 01'
properties and upon motion by Dolsman, seoonded b1 ~ayler, he was authorized ~o go ~head
with the prooeedings. Carried.
