The Council met in reg;ular session atT 230 P. M. 'this- date. Present: Mayor Wiley.
Councilmen Applewhite, Carson, Delsman, Koozer, Tayler. Absent: Councilman Crandall.
The minutes of the previbus meeting were read end approved as reado
Monthly reports of the Electric, Water and Street Departments and City Recorder
were read, accepted andordered placed on fileo
The following application for a building permit was presented:
No. 44. To remodel dwelling at 426 "B" street at an approximate cost of $200.00
by F. F. Whittle. It was moved by Tayler and seconded by Applewhite that the permit
be granted. Carried.
The following applications for liquor license endrosement were received,
Emetine Hicks Grocery, 523 North Main Street,
Kenneth Clinger, 347 East Main Street,
It was moved by Koozer and seconded by Carson that the a.pplications be approved
subject to the ok of the Chief of Police. Carried.
Committee Repo~~~:
Electric: Biegel reported that the request for a street li~ht by Mrs. Heard on
otis Street had not been a pproved b~r -the Electric Department.
Biegel reported that two cars needed replacement vnlich had been budgeted for, one
for the Electric Depa.rtment and one for the Water Department and asked permission to
oall for bids nOVi since the new models were out. It was moved by Koozer and seconded b~r
Applewhite that the City Sup't be authorized to call for bids on the two cars. Carried.
Biegel reported *Jw..t a sevv'er had been requested by some of the residents on Helman
street near the Chas. ~furtin property. and following a brief discussion, it was moved
by Tayler that notioe of intent to oonstruct sewer be publishedo Seconded by Koozer.
Carried.
Christmas decorations for the City streets as had been done on previous years was
approved again for this year.
Street. The Mrs.'Freeman ditch was reported on by the street Suptt.

The City Attorney reported on the proposed bicyole ordinance. stating that son~ of
the committee wanted plates for bioycles andothers did not. Pete Nutter representing
the Lions spoke in favor of plates and following more discussion the matter was referred
t~ the Special Co~ittee consisting of the Ci~ Attorney. Chief of Police. Pete Nutter
representing the Lions. Thea Norby, City Superintendent of Schools, and Roy Clary,
representing the Boy Soouts, to study and report back.
Upon Motion by Delsman, condemnation proceeding report was deferred to 8.00 P. M.
Deoember 5th. Seconded and carried.
The follo~~ng properties looated at Guthrie Street, Sherman and East Main, East
Main and 5th Streets and Grant Street having been approved for oondemnation.. it weB
moved by Koozer and seconded by Carson that the Ci~ prooeed with the hearing. Carried.
Upon motion by Carson, seconded by Koozer, the C~1:;y Attorney was instructed to
v~ite G. S. Butler concerning the Water Street bar.n. arried.
On motion, the Council adjourned to meet a.t the oall of the Mayor:
