HomeMy WebLinkAbout1939-1219 REG MIN Dec. 19, 1939 No. 31 The Council met in regular session at 1100 P. M. this date. Present: Mayor Wiley. Counoilmen Applewhi ta, Carson, Crandall, Koozer, Tayler. Absent. Councilman Del~. The mL'rlutes of the previous meeting were read and approved a. s read. Monthly reports of the Eleotric, WVater and Street Departments and Ci-by Recorder were read, aocepted and ordered placed on file. A bill forthe 1940 auto license record books subject to a discount if paid tIlls Fear was appro11ed for payment upon motion by Carson, seconded by Crandall and carried. The City Attorney presented the proposed settlement in the Mrs. Donald Spehc6r oase and discussion followed. It was moved by Crandall andseconded by Tayler that the recommendation of the City Attorney for settlement and acceptance of release for $58.50 be approved. Roll call was ordered on the motion with the following result: Ayes: Tayler, Crandall, Carson. Applewhite. Nays: Koozer. The motion being carried. Applioations for the following for endorsement by the City to the Liquor Controll Conmlission for licenses were received as follows: H. F. Pearson, A. E. JORdan, Travis, and Kaegi. It was moved by Koozer and seconded by Applewhite that the applications be granted. Carried. Carried. The transfer of deposits to delinquent consumers accounts totalling $76.35 and ~le adju.stments to active consumers accounts in the amount of $38.90 was approved. The free list for the period from January 1 to June 30, 1940 was approved upon mot- ion by Applewhite, seoonded by Carson and carried.
